Cow Of The Wild

In our Last week of Tribble of Doom moth I will review Cow Of the Wild. One of my all time favorite web series. Now I've already given many small reviews with in tribble of Doom moth but I promise there will be some new things here. Now it's time for Cow of the wild.

About the show
Now the show it's self has an interesting history, Tribbleofdoom originally cam up with the idea when she was eleven, that's right people this complex story was written by an eleven year old. It was supposed to be a spoof of a classic book called 'Call of the wild' but it turned into something very different. She actually did end up animating and finishing it, it had about 20 minutes of running time. But she lost it when her computer crashed. However on her web-site she does have a few screen shots here they are below.

The plot
So what is this magnificent story that is worthy of being a real series  is dark, dramatic, funny, and at times light, and has gathered many followers? A Cow wants to join a wolf pack and they let her because Fang the pack Leader has a plan. (Nothing more on this will be said if your so curious then go watch it on youtube) And well....it's not really about the Cow (Milly) but about the wolfs around her and other animals and how everything eventually seems to have something to do with her or she effects it in someway. But when we are focusing on Milly it's handled extremely well.


The Characters
Okay if I talk about all of them we'll be here forever! So I'm only going to talk about the Main ones.

Milly: When she first appears Milly was very interested in seeing Alari a wolf, since she had never seen one before. This is where her wanting to join a wolf pack came from. Milly's character is handled very well and she even gets a little side-kick named Rocky who's tree got destroyed and she now has to carry around on her. She sometimes gets annoyed with Rocky showing that Milly can be pushed to her limits.

Luna: Luna I found was interesting  she's always very positive even though she's an omega. My guess of why she is an Omega and her brother Bone is Beta and her sister Midnight is well regular I guess. Is because Fang has a grudge against her.

Lupus: Lupus had.....a troubled childhood, making him interesting with his back story. He's a runt and loves Luna like Luna loves him, but none of theme ever really tell each other.

Fang: This wolf referred to from Rune as the 'Mad Alfa' has a bad reputation after having his mater and his daughter 'die', he turned bitter but still had a bit of his heart left in him unlike the next character.

Rune: This murderous wolf was once a pup with a pure heart that loved his pack, that all changed when his mate left for another wolf who was son of the Alfa of the enemy pack. Loosing one of his eyes in battle for her he soon turned insane becoming Alfa of his pack he took over the kingdom his packs enemy and the home of his ex mate and the wolf that took her. After killing the royal family he tracked theme and there pups down and killed all of theme.....or so he thought.

Sammy: This character comes off as bitter at first, but when she goes looking for Milly she beacame my favorite character. Missing a Leg and going into the dangerouse woods full of wolfs to save a cow defiantly counts for something.

Animation:
Lets sum it up; It's stunning moving on XD




Voice acting
I had to say that in the first few episodes the voices were just....okay but later got really reallt good. They sound like real voice actors!


Overall
COTW Is an intersting serse with many twists and loveable characters that will keep you wanting more! I give COTW a 9.7 out of 10! And so ends Tribble of doom moth. Thank you Tribble for making such great animations!

TRIBBLEOFDOOMS Warrior cats

Continuing Tribble of doom month we will now move on to her first animated series Warrior cats. Now first of all what can you say about it? It's Warriorcats lots of other people have done it, SSSWarriorcats is doing a great animated version right now, there are spoofs of it everywhere so what makes this one special. Well not only was tribble of doom the first to actually FINISH The warrior cats first book into the wild, but I feel like this was animation practice for her main project COTW. above you will see a frame from her original one that she made before warriorcats, and a picture from the first few episodes and one from one of her latest episodes. See the difference?

The animation

While we are on the subject of improving animation look at this photo above, in one year you can improve so much she has given hope to other you tube animators. (like me XD) The animation for the first few episodes is.........not really good, I didn't like it but she was just starting out, near episodes 15 we start to see the animation style she is best known for. And I like that.

The plot

Okay obviously she followed the book so the plot isn't really hers as well as the characters so this review is going to be really short.

The voice actors

I find the voice actors for the series were okay, I've seen better but I've also seen worse. But for a first time I liked it, I liked bluestars and yelloewfangs voice. Tigerstars voice was lowered by my guess but still seemed to fit. But I actually found myself growing to like the voices more and more with every episode,  the voice acting seemed to keep getting better and better.

And that's what I think about tribble of dooms warrior cats, it's okay at the begining near the end it's excellent and it gave her the practice she needed for her next big project the on she is known for the most.

Dreamer Trailer, One of her first video`s on youtube, she made it for her moms birthday for a book her mom was writing. Why does it deserve a number 10 spot, well it did it`s job it made me want to read the book. She re did a picture from the trailer (above) and it shows you how much she has improved! (Me and my friend are also writing a book of our own right now I made a trailer (threw the eye`s of a beast 1mefox)

Take it like a She-cat
As a fan of the warriors series I liked this video, It has great animation, a good song to go with it and it followed the books. I think it deserved the number 9 spot.

 Heather-Unknown Blood AMV
This actually got me into Unknown blood and in case you were wondering yes I will review this later on. So whats so good about it, well when I watched it it actually made me get all teary eyed. If a you tube cartoon can do that it deserves in number 9 spot!

Fang`s Plan
A short spoof of her own episode what`s not to love. This made me laugh like crazy! Fang`s dialog was especially good or as he put it `my epic master plan! or epic proportions ``!

Starclans Lift
A scene from the warrior cats saga and her own animated adaption, his is probably one of the best scenes in the series (tribbleofdoom`s) And all the more reason to give it the number 6 spot.

COTW 6
One of the best COTW episodes in my point of view, I enjoyed watching it, Millys dream at the beginning was beautiful and interesting.

The life of bee`s
One of her best, It was actually another adittion to `Dreamer`. (CAN`T WAIT UNTIL IT COMES OUT`)! The animation is beautiful and it fits the song well. In fact since we are on the subject of Dreamer I would`nt be surprised if Tribbleofdoom did another animated series based on it. But that``s just my opinion she`s really busy with school but she has my thanks for making this video.

Lord of the flies
Not exactly on her channel but on another one she made. It was originally for a school project, but I have read the book and this is exactly how I imagined everything would look like. I even got creeped out at points.

Wings
This short animation is beautiful and amazing, I loved it! It just goes to prove : don`t change yourself just to please others because nothing will.

Probably the best episodes in the series these two explain most of whats going on. It`s also quite complex and interesting.

The History of TribbleofDoom (or at least her major projects)

Tribble of Doom started out on youtube a little more then four years ago with her first few video's. She lives in Canada Toronto !  now I have read on the COTW home-page that she actually did do COTW in 2008 but took them off. So lets move right ahead to Warriorcats! Being Tribbleofdoom's first animated series that's still on youtube, The first few episodes were nice but no one expected her to actually FINISH the series! No one had done that before! Not only that but by the time she was done her art work had improved at least 10 X more then when she started, in my point of view it made way for her next big project that would turn her into a you tube celebrity.

In 2009 Tribbleofdoom realeased her trade-mark web-serise COW OF THE WILD!( Trailer up above) People were a little confused about the title and even a friend of mine wondered if this was some sort of joke or spoof. I mean a Cow who wants to join a wolf pack! How dose that work? It can't work it's impossible right? WRONG! This series is complex, dramatic, dark, funny, sad, romantic and even it's characters are great! This series surprised me as it did with quite a few viewers. Oddly enough it wasn't about Milly (the cow) but more about a chain of events that happened because of her and other events that cricle around her and all in some way connect. This was Tribble of Dooms biggest project up to date! The series is not yet done but is more then half way there!





In 2009 Tribbleofdoom made a web comic called 'MY PRIDE'.
I don't know much about it it was one of her side projects after all however I did find it very good. Below is the first page.

Tribble of Doom Month

I think most of us have heard about the animated web show legend tribble of doom. No only the first one to actually finish the warriors cats series but also the first to come up with a real complex wolf pack series that is really unique where as most wolf shows are pretty much the same thing. Now every week of october I am going to do a review of her web shows, starting with her history. After that warrior cats into the wild and her top ten video's, the last review will be a surprise. So let's dive right into The month of Tribbleofdoom!

Uram 7 dimstars past

Now before we start I just want to say that Uram7 is a great youtuber and has given us animation to love and she puts all her heart into it. That and she released twelve episodes plus extra animations in less then a year! With long episodes to. Now moving on I will be talking about Dimstars Pat for real lets go a little bit into the history of this feline. The story was based on the Warrior cat series of Erin hunter a successful and popular saga for children and young teens. Dimstars past takes place a few years after or before the firestar saga since each of the characters are made up and never mentioned in the book. Dimstar himself was not actually first seen in the show but in a page from an early comic Uram7 did, it gives us kind of a sneak peek into the up coming series.

The animation
The animation is great and for an episode to come out every few weeks I was surprised! The backgrounds were amazing and the movements of the cats looked nice in the early episodes Uram7 pointed out Chestnutfall gaining a few pounds in some animation frames but that was early on.

The characters
Dimstar: Was a very good character, one of the best I would say, sure he's based on warrior cats but he's not a perfect Hero. A normal Hero would give the guy a chance but no he actually takes revenge, it's an interesting point of view.

Scarletpelt: I felt as if this character was just there to be the female love-interest, but she also serves the only thing in the world that makes Dimstars life worth living and for that I kinda gave her a second chance.

Chestnutfall: Okay first thing that comes to mind when I saw him : Tigerstar but Uram7 has cleared up that he is not a tigerstar rip-off, event hough he looks like him and has the same motivations and...... enough said.


The story
The plot was very interesting as a coming of age story almost like Erin hunter had written it herself, Dimstar has had a troubling past and it has scared him but here are a few plot holes like the cat who gave him a life, who was that cat? Was he from starclan? The dark forest? A ghost? Who?! That aside the dialog was very well written and the cast who played the rolls were great!

OVERALL
Dimstars past is an enjoyable web-show that is a great watch. Sure the characters are just okay and there is a plot-hole int here but besides that Dimstars past made me realize the dark and horribal past Dimstar had and I hope you watch it and Uram7's coming short 2 part series 'LIGHT'. I give Dimstars Past a seven out of ten.
